The Bloodmaster (Game’s Workshop’s fancy new name for the – admittedly rather dull sounding – Herald of Khorne on foot) is one of my favourite models from the Khorne range. To use a phrase that will be very familiar to all my regular readers by now it’s one that (say it with me) I’ve been meaning to get around to for ages, so the other night I cleared my schedule and my desk and cracked on with it.
Not much more to be said really – he’s a very angry daemon and he’s ready to carve up all of the Blood God’s enemies which, at the last count, was everybody.

Excellent – I love the choice of skin tone mate, far better than the standard lurid red, though the hair is a nice nod to it. Very clever, and very cool! 😊👍

Thanks mate! Yeah, I’m not a big fan of the standard red – it’s ok but I prefer them in black. That said he needed a splash of colour somewhere and putting the red back on his crest seemed like a good fit.

The dark skin threw me off, so used to seeing them in red. But it’s pretty cool, mate!

I would not have guessed that this is one of your favorite Khorne minis! The sculpt doesn’t speak to me for some reason though the black color scheme you chose certainly does 🙂 Glad you got this one done and shared it with us. I think this is a job well done!

Thank you! 🙂 To me he’s a distillation of all things Khorne – I do like models that are flashy or do something original and different with an idea but it’s not always necessary. This one is just pure Khorne; there’s nothing extra but in my opinion there doesn’t need to be.

He certainly is and I feel like GW isn’t that keen on releasing many demon minis anymore or at least not like they used to and that makes this little guy stand out from the pack too.

I love this. The black skin and red fur on his back makes for a very striking combination.
