One of the models I planned to tackle for the Fembruary challenge last year but didn’t get around to (although to be fair I did paint a hell of a lot of other women so I’ll let myself off) is this Branchwych. She’s one of my favourites from the Sylvanth range and I’ve been itching to tackle her for a while so I was determined that I wasn’t going to pass her over this time around.
I’ve actually dug out a few of my untouched Sylvaneth recently, it’s past time these treefolk got a bit of paint on them, so expect to see more of them emerging from the woods soon.

Very nicely done. She has that look I get from SWMBO when I roll in slightly late and the worst for wear!

Thank you! Is that look “a bit cross” or “about to hit you with a scythe”? Either way I’d be worried!

Lovely job mate, these are great fun to paint, and I love what you’ve done here!

Thanks mate! These definitely have the “zombie effect” – quick, easy and relaxing to paint. 🙂

Oooh, very nice indeed! 🙂 I’ll look forward to seeing more treefolk!

Cheers! I’ve sorted out a bunch of them to paint so I’ll try to tackle them soon.

Very nice- love the sickle.
Cheers,
Pete.

Thanks! I’m pleased with the sickle myself, it’s actually the same recipe I used for the skin of my Savage Orcs, but I reckon it works well for Sylvaneth weapons.

Its great to see some more Sylvaneth and this one is perfect for the occasion as well. She came out really nice, mate and I’ll be looking forward to seeing more tree-folk in the near future!

Thank you! I really enjoy painting them and I’ve got a bunch more sitting around so I’ll see what I can do. Actually now I think about it, a couple of them are ladies so I might try to sneak them into Fembruary.

Great job on this one. Makes me want to dig some of my own Sylvaneth out – how many times have your posts made me say something like that?
February 16th, 2022 at 8:07 pm
Almost as often as you’ve made me say it I reckon. It’s a natural side-effect of us both being enthusiastic painters with eclectic tastes. And you should definitely paint some Sylvaneth – they’re ridiculously easy to do fairly well, and from there you can keep adding as much flourish as you feel like. I can see them being a regular “go to” whenever my count of completed models needs a boost!
