It’s time for the crypt door to creak ominously open once more to disgorge… yet more dirty zombies!
As I’ve mentioned a number of times in the past I do enjoy painting zombies, they’re a great tonic for those times when you fancy painting something but you can’t be arsed to be too neat and careful. Plus they look damn good as a mighty horde.
At the moment of course the horde isn’t that mighty but I’ll keep working on that…

When I saw the title I thought it was another news story about Conservative lockdown parties but thank goodness it turned out to be zombies! Great work and the horde is coming along very nicely. 🙂

Haha! Aye, have you heard that Boris didn’t realise he was at a party, he thought he was in a pizza express in Woking? Glad you like the zombies! 😀

Nicely done mate, these look perfect! This is is a set that I really must get around to exploring… mind you, no panic if the longevity of the last set is anything to go by 😂

Thank you! Yeah, that’s true – any time in the next 50 years or so should be fine. 😂 Seriously though this set is well worth a look. The scale is a bit small compared to the skeletons but otherwise it’s a really nice kit. I like the Cursed City zombies but they are a bit busy, these are just nice, straightforward workaday zombies and that’s all good in my book.

Nicely done little horde of the undead.

Those are very nice. Those sort of minis are fun to do as a ‘palate cleanser’ almost.
Cheers,
Pete.

Cheers! Yes, I very much agree, they’re a really nice way to just relax and bash through a bunch of models – they don’t need to be perfect (in fact it looks better if they’re not!).

Very nice work, mate! These are great sculpts and its easy to see why you’re having fun painting them. The number of victims, I mean, loyal soldiers seems to be growing nicely as well 😉

Cheers! Aye, “surrender and serve me in life, or fight and slave for me in death” as Vlad von Carstein used to say to his enemies. A surprising number of people chose the latter option too…

Great work once again! The horde might be a tiny one now, but I’ll enjoy seeing it grow.
January 18th, 2022 at 10:52 pm
Thank you – I’m enjoying growing it! 🙂 Rise, my minions, rise!!

Really nice Zombies! Great attention to detail (love the dude with the pumpkin helmet). I see you really gave the rotting tongues some love, great eye catcher. Are those the GW ones? If so, glad to see not all of them have their gravestone with them.
January 18th, 2022 at 10:57 pm
Cheers! Yes, these are the new GW zombies. The pumpkin head is from a Blood Bowl player otherwise these are pretty much all built ‘as standard’ so far. I’d say maybe about a third of the set have tombstones on their backs, but with some of them you can get away with leaving the stone off (so for example the bald lady third from the top could be built with or without a tombstone). Where I can I’ve left them off, I like them as an occasional flourish dotted throughout the horde but too many of them overeggs it a bit for my taste.

Agreed. I really like the half rotten faces. Great for conversions, too.

Ach! Zombies!
I believe this is documentary footage, right down to the 100% accent….
And great work. Soooo many zombies to paint!
January 25th, 2022 at 8:31 pm
That is indeed documentary footage, everyone round here looks and sounds like that! 😂 They actually just filmed me at work and then put a filter on it to make me look more yellow. 😁
Anyway, glad you like them, you can’t have too many zombies 🧟♂️
