Time for one more visit to the Blood Bowl pitch for this month. As I hoped I’ve managed to get all six of the Orc players for my Black Orc team painted, let’s take a look at the final pair.
And here’s the obligatory group shot of the team so far.
This just leaves the goblin half of the team to paint, plus the various counters, tokens and balls. Oh and a troll, but I’d like to convert him to make him look different to the troll that plays for my other Orc team (and yes, I’m perfectly aware that I still haven’t painted that first troll either, no need to nag thank you!). I’m aiming to keep chipping away at the rest of the team and get them all wrapped up by the end of the year (minus the troll of course – I know he’ll need a bit more work).

Keep spitting out green dudes man! Really enjoy following the blog 🙂 Did you use runelord brass for the buckles? Cheers

Thank you! Got a few more green dudes up my sleeve so I’ll see what else I can do before the month is out. Yes, I used Runelord Brass for the buckles, and then added a little bit of Snakebite Leather (the contrast paint) it makes the colour richer and it works nicely as a shade on brass.

These look suitably savage mate. I love how you seem to get a shine on the armour.

Cheers mate, much appreciated – especially because edge highlighting is still something I struggle with from time to time.

Oh really? Do you enjoy it though? It’s one of my favourite things to do.

It varies a bit, depends on my mood I think. When my head is in the right place it can be incredibly relaxing, almost meditative.

A winning team if ever I saw one mate. 🙂

Cheers! Hopefully the other team won’t know what hit them!

The team is looking great, mate. These Black Ork sculpts are excellent and this has to be one of the most intimidating looking teams in Blood Bowl! Now, get cracking on those trolls!!! 😉

I know, imagine seeing those guys charging down the pitch towards you! They really are awesome models aren’t they. As for the trolls, I just need to drum up my enthusiasm for them and for now it seems to have gone astray…

Tough looking team! Love the work on the horns and the armor, and the fleshwork is your usual level of excellence.

Thanks Mark! Wait until you see their goblin sidekicks, they may be little guys but they’re a mean-looking bunch!
