Well, Orktober has been and gone and to be honest it wasn’t quite as productive on the greenskins front as I might have liked. For over a decade I’ve harboured an ambition to paint up at least one hundred unique ork boyz and earlier this year I realised I was within stretching distance of victory, if I simply knuckled down and got on with it. By the start of October I had twenty to go but alas by the end of the month I’d only finished off another five (although giving myself credit I had painted quite a lot of other things). On the other hand all the orks are now built and undercoated so victory is a step closer, time to get my head down and paint the remaining fifteen. I’m not much of a fan of batch painting so I’ll be tackling them in blocks of no more than five – here’s the latest recruits.
Lighting this one so that his weapons weren’t casting shadows over his face in the photograph was a real challenge but I got there in the end.
A little bit of greenstuff work to change the mouth on this one. Nothing groundbreaking in terms of sculpting but I’m pleased with the results.
With these done there are now only ten to go, so expect to see a few more greenies showing up here over the coming weeks.
