The Ladykillers – Part 14

With the leader of the Escher gang now complete I’m aiming to ride a wave of enthusiasm through getting the rest of the models painted up. As it stands I have a surfeit of Eschers already finished but, as a result of my love for the Underhive’s best dressed, I still have five more unfinished miniatures waiting for attention and I’d like to get them all painted up at last.

First up we have one of my personal favourites, Dutch – a gang champion lugging around a suitably imposing heavy stubber, ready to chew through any rabble the girls encounter. I’m painting the gang on behalf of my partner and she’s been a big fan of Dutch since she first saw her assembled – no pressure to get it right then! Luckily my efforts met with the official seal of approval so chances are good that this lady will be unleashed on my unfortunate Goliaths next time we manage to get a game in.

I must confess to an unhealthy attraction to flamethrowers in miniatures games, which of course makes a Cawdor gang a must! However they’re not the only ones who get to unleash fiery destruction in the Underhive and there was no way the Eschers were going to miss out on the fun! Again contrast paints proved their worth when it comes to painting tattoos – definitely something I’ll be making more use of in the future.

With these complete we’re two down three to go, so I’ll see what else I can finish up over the weekend. At this rate I’ll need to beef up the Goliaths as well, otherwise the girls are going to walk all over them!

Great work mate, Love the figure and how you have managed to get so many colours working so well alongside each other. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thanks very much mate ๐Ÿ™‚ I enjoyed getting to play with a lot of bright colours on this project, usually I like to keep my palette more natural and restrained so it was fun to just let my hair down but also an interesting challenge to make sure the finished piece actually worked.

Another kick-arse pair of Escher, though I’m not sure about dangling feathers or tying a bit of cloth around the business end of a flamethrower…

Lovely job mate, this gang is going to look amazing on the table!

Looking badass! I thought Dutch had a Lascannon at first, but a Heavy Stubber seems much more useful. I love the Flamer chick’s hair, but have to second Azazel’s misgivings about feathers and cloth wraps on a flamethrower ๐Ÿ˜‰

I guess it just makes a misfire on an ammo roll all the more spectacular!

Seems to be a thing right now. Mordian 7th just did something similar, giving a Flamer to the Leader Model from the Corvus Cabal.

You two and your “health and safety” ๐Ÿ˜‰

There is something Lascannon-esque about that stubber isn’t there – must admit when I saw your post I had to go and double-check that it was a stubber and I hadn’t screwed up.

Cheers for the reminder about Mordian 7th, haven’t checked out their work in a while and I’m loving what they’ve done with those Corvus Cabal (even though burnt feathers stink!). And of course, if all the cool kids are doing it then it makes sense that the Eschers started the trend!

Dutch looks awsome, I dont know what the second girl is called tho , but daaamn has she golt calves…. Lol, great job mate.

    • Wudugast

She gets plenty of exercise down in the Underhive! ๐Ÿ˜€ Something that my partner commented on which attracted her to the gang, is the way that they look like they’re physically fit and strong women, not twiglets. They may be dressed to impress but they’re capable as well. Oh and flamer-girl’s name is Meria by the way. Glad you like them ๐Ÿ™‚

A fellow mini flamer addict here, and I’m also a sucker for big belt-fed machineguns ๐Ÿ˜€ They’re great models with excellent paintjobs, as usual.

    Wonderful work.

Speak, damn you!
