Gruesome. What’s the weapon in the left hand of the first model?
June 8th, 2018 at 9:52 am
Cheers 🙂 He’s got a hammer and a broken blade of some sort. I had assumed it was a knife but someone just suggested it might be a chisel which would make more sense with the hammer.
June 8th, 2018 at 10:05 am
Chisel and mallet would be a lethal weapon in the wrong hands
June 8th, 2018 at 9:19 pm
Like in my hands, because I’m pretty sure I could do some serious damage to myself!
June 8th, 2018 at 11:47 pm
Ahaha are you not handy on the tools man? I have to be as it’s part of my job but I have been known to whack my thumb with a hammer or slide a hacksaw across the top of my hand and that’s just on my lunch break.
June 9th, 2018 at 12:15 am
Swords and knives, I’m just fine. But let me tell you about the time with a hobby knife someday.
June 9th, 2018 at 4:53 am
Do you have swords? I have a Katana under my bed and sharpened zombie machete hidden in the house too. I’m hopeful that one day zombies will try and eat me. TRY being the key word there.
June 9th, 2018 at 6:06 am
No, I have a toddler. We would all be dead, once she found that sword. The police would walk onto the scene, and there would just be this evil grinning kid. “Give me COOKIE!”
I have a shinai still, but that’s it. Though I have thought about picking up some stuff to ‘decorate’ the office with. Always wanted a pair of sais.

Ahhh so you’re a Raphael type of Dude huh? I’m a cross between Leonardo and Michaelangelo
June 9th, 2018 at 3:29 pm
I probably have more of the temperament of Leo, but definitely admire Raph’s weapon choice.
June 9th, 2018 at 12:45 am
I’d agree that it is probably a broken chisel. Very nice poxwalkers!

Yummm!!! (gribble gribble gribble)
June 8th, 2018 at 11:04 am
😀
June 8th, 2018 at 1:43 pm
Another great pair of these – you’re making me want to start on mine, but I need to stay strong and get other stuff finished and out of the way first…
June 8th, 2018 at 4:04 pm
Cheers 🙂 I’m hoping to get all of mine done by the end of the year, which should be plenty of time but equally should encourage me to keep chipping away at them and not let them gather dust.

Is that an eyeball in the armpit?! Nice paints, I really like the hammer and mace weapon. What are you using for the rust effect? I’ve been trying thinned down Skrag Brown. Seems to work okay for small bits.
June 9th, 2018 at 12:46 am
Hey, you are right, it does look like an pit eyeball. Whether it is supposed to be or not, I’m definitely stealing that idea!
June 9th, 2018 at 1:17 am
Yea, Chaos mutations never cease to surprise me.
June 9th, 2018 at 4:06 pm
Gosh – two questions at once! I think the lump in the armpit is probably meant to be some kind of boil or spot but I painted it as an eyeball. To be honest I wasn’t entirely sure about it but you both being so positive about it has set my mind at ease.
As for the rusty metal I started with my usual recipe for dirty weathered metal; a coat of leadbelcher followed by a coat of agrax earthshade. At the moment I’m really getting into sponge weathering, so for larger areas of rust I go mournfang brown, then skrag then trollslayer orange. Stippling it on works just as well for smaller areas. Hope that helps.
