We’ve seen the glorious young knight now it’s the turn of his old, somewhat world-weary, comrade.
To call this model a conversion may be something of a stretch, he’s based almost entirely on this barbarian from momminiaturas, with the chaos symbols carefully scraped off his shield, and his club switched out for a sword. It’s not a huge change but I think it does a rather nice job of transforming him into an old knight, no longer as glory hungry as he once was but still ready to take up his sword in defence of his lands.

Excellent mate. I really love the vibrant colours. They’re a lovely contrast to the armour. Did you see my one? https://imperialrebelork.wordpress.com/2016/10/29/the-crooked-man-act-iv/

Looking good mate – think I overlooked it when you first posted it so cheers for bringing it to my attention. See you went for a different weapon too, I love the model but I don’t get why they gave him that weird club.
Re the other model that you’ve partnered with it ( the one that’s about to execute the prisoner): do you recall if the head comes separately or if not do you reckon it would be easy enough to swap it out without too much struggle? Thinking about picking one up to convert into a Khornate priest.

Thanks man. Lovely minis. The head could easily be snipped off I reckon.

The shield does provide a nice contrast.

Cheers – it was a lot of fun to paint, and a really nice change from my usual filthy, rusty fare!

A doughty warrior if ever I saw one! Bravo 🙂

Thanks very much! 🙂

Great work. He’s got a bit of a rural feel to him. A knight who has (mostly) retired but is still a vicious old brute when roused from his farming (or drinking, or….)

Thanks – that’s precisely the vibe I was aiming for 🙂

I am really impressed with this guy. The model captures his past, as silly as that might sound. Great job as always.

Thanks! And no, that doesn’t sound silly – indeed it’s exactly the effect I was hoping to create. I see him as a character defined by his age, experience and sense of duty so I’m glad that comes across in the finished piece.
