Ok, I admit that I said a few weeks ago that I wouldn’t let anything distract me from Khorne until all the Berserkers were done, but I slipped. After painting Kharn I found myself overexcited about the idea of painting things red (the inner Ork rising to the surface perhaps) and flailed around eagerly until my hand fell on this chap.
The priest, although sharing a distinct similarity to Games Workshop’s Empire warrior priests, comes from MOMminiaturas, a Spanish miniatures company who combine low-low prices with excellent quality models and are well worth checking out. One minor issue is that the website is almost entirely in Spanish, which makes the ordering process a little difficult for those of us who don’t speak the language. Then again most people in the world have the same issue with websites in English and they make do without too much complaint so I’d recommend manning up and applying a combination of common sense and the (debateable) charms of google-translate to get you where you need to be. Or better yet, make friends with an actual Spanish person – making repeat orders considerably easier and providing you with a boon companion and all the joy that results from having another human being to share life’s journey with.
As usual comments and feedback are welcome.

He looks great mate! Cracking paint job, really brings out his character 🙂

Cheers 🙂 I wanted him to look battle-worn and dirty, but I don’t see him as a mendicant living in a hedge the whole time either – he’s still a leader of men and once in a while he must get back to Altdorf for a change of robes but he’s not fancy.

PS – I just bought a miniature from MOM. Nicely priced models but they killed me on shipping. If the model turns out to be a dud im going to blame you! Hahaha.

Aye, postage to you must be a real gouge! What did you buy?
September 10th, 2016 at 11:17 am
It sure is. I bought a barbarian dude threatening to slash the throat of a peasant looking dude haha. Very cool looking mini. In thinking of adding him to Reaper Army. (Bloodreavers).

Good choice – I wondered about picking that one up myself. Maybe in the next order! One thing to note about their chaos dudes is that they’re quite big in comparison to normal human figures, but so are the newer GW chaos sculpts so they should match up quite nicely.

Thanks man. I did wonder about scale.

Very nice, and kudos for discovering the range. I’m not yet sold on hard resin, but there’s something in their style that I like, although I can’t quite describe it…

I know what you mean, the range seems slightly rough around the edges somehow, which makes it sound like I’m saying its amateurish or poor quality which is definitely not the case. It has an organic element to it, models that were created by hand and contain the tiny flaws of the craftsman that make it feel alive – as opposed to the digital polishing GW’s range.
As for the hard resin I don’t mind it as a material to work with but I’ll admit I did break the hammer (and I certainly wasn’t being rough with it) and have to put in quite a bit of time repairing it.

Never fear, I shall redeem myself in his wrathful gaze shortly!

And so the Imperium shall fall!

They’ve got some good stuff don’t they? I think I might be due for another order to them soon myself.
